  • C. Diff (Clostridioides difficile) – C. Diff is a bacterium that causes severe diarrhea and colitis. According to the CDC, 1 in 6 patients who get C. diff will get it again in the subsequent 2-8 weeks. Most cases of C. diff occur when you’ve been taking antibiotics or not long after you’ve finished taking antibiotics.

  • MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) – MRSA is a cause of staph infection that is difficult to treat because of resistance to some antibiotics. Staph bacteria are usually harmless, but they can cause serious infections that can lead to sepsis or death.

  • COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) – COVID-19 most often causes respiratory symptoms that can feel much like a cold, a flu, or pneumonia. COVID-19 may attack more than your lungs and respiratory system. Other parts of your body may also be affected by the disease.
